Step-by-step guide: how to search, watch profiles, and set up ban notifications on Telegram and Discord.
How to search a profile
Faceit Finder lets you find a Faceit profile based on a Steam account, or the other way around – find a Steam account based on a Faceit nickname.
On the homepage select the "Steam" or "Faceit Nick" tab.
Paste a Steam profile link (e.g. steamcommunity.com/id/yournick), a Steam ID64, or type a player's Faceit nickname.
Click "Search" – you'll see the full profile: stats, Faceit level, match history, in-game hours and VAC/FACEIT ban status.
How to watch a profile (ban tracking)
Watching a profile lets you automatically get notified when that player receives a VAC ban or a FACEIT-specific ban (e.g. Verbal Abuse, Cheating on FACEIT).
Sign in with Steam ("Sign in" button in the top right corner).
Go to the profile you want to watch and click the "Watch" button / eye icon next to their stats.
Done – we now check this profile every 24h. If it receives a ban (or loses one), you'll get a notification in the app and – if connected – on Telegram and/or Discord.
How to connect Telegram and get ban notifications
Once you connect your Telegram account, our bot will send you a private message whenever a profile you watch receives (or loses) a VAC or FACEIT ban.
Sign in to faceit-finder.com with Steam, then go to Settings.
In the "Connected accounts" section find Telegram and click the login button – confirm in the Telegram popup.
Open our bot @FaceitFindercomBot and send it /start – this activates receiving messages (Telegram requires you to message the bot first).
Start watching any profile (see "Watching profiles" above) – from now on you'll get a private message whenever its ban status changes.
How to connect Discord
Connecting Discord lets you get mentioned (@) in ban notifications on our Discord server and automatically assigns a role matching your Faceit level.
Sign in with Steam, go to Settings and click "Connect Discord" in the "Connected accounts" section.
Join our Discord server – link in the footer or the notifications menu.
Done – you'll be mentioned (@) in the ban notifications channel for profiles you watch.
