Faceit Ranking System – How ELO and Skill Levels Work

Published: February 10, 2025

What is ELO in Faceit?

ELO is the points system Faceit uses to determine player skill. Winning gives ELO, losing takes it away. The bigger the team skill gap (beating better teams = more gain, losing to weaker = more loss), the larger the change.

10 Skill Levels

Faceit splits players into 10 levels, from 1 (Silver) to 10 (Global Elite). Level 1: ~0–800 ELO, Level 2: 801–950, Level 3: 951–1100, Level 4: 1101–1250, Level 5: 1251–1400, Level 6: 1401–1550, Level 7: 1551–1700, Level 8: 1701–1850, Level 9: 1851–2000, Level 10: 2000+. Level 10 is mostly pros and semi-pros.

How to Gain ELO

A win typically gives 20–30 ELO, a loss takes a similar amount. Exact value depends on expected outcome – beating a higher-ranked team yields more points. MVP (most kills/assists) can give a small bonus. Consistency is key – a winning streak speeds up rank progression.

World and Country Ranking

Besides ELO, Faceit shows your world and country ranking. Top players see their position on the list. Faceit Finder displays this for every profile – you can quickly check where a player stands globally or in their country.

Tips to Climb

Playing in a stable five-stack reduces trolling and AFK. Team communication improves win chances. Review match stats – Faceit provides post-match analytics. Avoid tilt – losing streaks happen; stay calm and improve from game to game.

Summary

The ELO system and 10 skill levels give Faceit a clear competitive structure. Understanding how points and promotion work helps you set realistic goals. Use Faceit Finder to track stats and rankings.
